I don‘t know how much broadway trash we have here on Litsy but my heart was so happy tonight watching the Tony Awards. I don‘t think I have ever screamed at my tv before tonight. 🤩🎭 #TonyAwards

merelybookish Yes watching too! 6y

At the Tony Awards this evening and cheering on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! It already won for best costume design and scenic design (they do creative arts and some special Tonys from 7-8pm; Andrew Lloyd Webber and Chita Rivera were just honored). #tonys #tonyawards #broadway #harrypotter #hp

Kshakal Omg!!! You are at the Toby‘s!!?!! I am so jealous!!! 6y

Close-up 3. And the other side of my #TonyAwards display. The book with the plain cover is "Some Enchanted Evenings", which tells the story of Rodgers & Hammerstein. Ugly looking book, but it sounds great and I've added it to my TBR. Read any of these?

Do you like going to shows? Ever been to one on Broadway?

#LitsyLovesLibraries #MrBooksDisplays

CoffeeNBooks I love A Streetcar Named Desire! 6y
TiredLibrarian I love plays and musicals; haven't seen one on Broadway in years, but I do see touring productions. Read Streetcar Named Desire years ago & liked it. I'd love to read a history of musicals, but would like one that covers the 70s and later. I have no interest in Wicked; I know I'm in the minority on this, but I wasn't a huge fan of the musical. 6y
rwmg I saw an amateur production of Dreamgirls on Friday. Great staging and choreography, but my goodness it was loud 6y
Lcsmcat I‘ve read Wicked and Phantom. I have to wonder why that edition chose a gargoyle from Notre Dame to put on the cover instead of a detail from the Opera House! 6y

Close-up 2. Hopefully you can make out the titles. All wonderful books I found we have on the subject. So many to add to my TBR 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻! Have you read any of these? #TonyAwards #LitsyLovesLibraries #MrBooksDisplays

CoffeeNBooks I teach Death of a Salesman in my AP Literature class, and my students really like it! 6y
TiredLibrarian Our Town, Death of a Salesman, and I must read The Girls of Murder City - I love Chicago! 6y
Amanda.T The Girls of Murder City is excellent! (edited) 6y
Lcsmcat Ragtime is great! And the musical based on it is so much better than Seussical that I was shocked that they were written by the same people. 6y
Gissy Nope! But there are some that seem interesting! 6y

My first close-up of the #TonyAwards display ?. I was working so feverishly I didn't realize the pics were a bit crooked and off, lol. Those two books are gorgeous. Have you read "Razzle Dazzle"? #LitsyLovesLibraries #MrBooksDisplays

This was the last display I made for the day yesterday. It's my #TonyAwards table 😁! All things Broadway and theater. Has your library or local bookstore ever done this theme for a display? #LitsyLovesLibraries #MrBooksDisplays

TiredLibrarian No, but this is great! 🎵🎶🧤💃💛 6y
