panAfter reading the other books in the series, I should have known exactly how this was going to go. All the characters were shallow. Tally again was stuck up and full of herself, can't even stop for a second for anyone but herself. At least this one had a mystery going on to keep my interest a little. 2.5/5

 pan
panThis book has to be the worst in the series. I couldn't stand Tally. I understand the book was supposed to be about what they made her, but she was so annoying. Just me me me all the time while making the stupidest decisions even tho she was "better" than everyone else. She was also supposed to have a redemption arc, but she really didn't? The romance also went nowhere and just seemed dumb to add in at all. 1/5

 so-so
so-soIf I hear the word bubbly or bogus ever again, it will be too soon. Holy cow, I swear both of those words appeared at least once every page, sometimes more than that. I enjoyed this book a little less than the first. I think it is following the same mold for every distopian. The same thing keeps happening to make her into the next thing as well, which is getting old. The writing is still not great. 3/5

 pick
pickI think this book conveys a good message about beauty standards. The characters were shallow, everything happened super fast, very insta-love. I do like the futuristic atmosphere, but the writing is obviously for YA. The ending did have me reaching for the second book, though. 3.75/5

 pan
panWell I finished the Uglies series.
They really were just a copy and past of each other. Even this one didn‘t share anything new. The only differences in this one were that it was set in Japan (but you wouldn‘t know till the last part) and it brought in the World Wide Web.
This was another of my #bookspin #doublespin picks, this time for February.

I‘m really late in sharing but here‘s my #bookspin #doublespin picks for February.
My prompts were Pet Pick and Final Book.

panThis one really fell flat for me.
The plot was a cut and past of the previous books in the series with only a slight variation in the exact location of where things went down. The characters have had no growth throughout the series and it‘s made extremely clear in this one. I wouldn‘t continue and read the last book in this series but as I own it and Specials was supposed to be the last in the series I do plan to read on and see what Extras adds.

 pick
pickA good dive back into this series. It‘s interesting how much of this is still relevant.
I think Netflix did a pretty good job overall of bringing this to screen.
 so-so
so-soThe story wasn‘t bad but I had no motivation to read. It was a struggle. I think after being disappointed by Specials, this world did not have my attention anymore. Glad it is over 🤷🏻♀️.
