pickI loved this memoir / call to action about the Flint, MI water crisis. This pediatrician sounded the alarm and used science to back up her patient concerns. I also loved her stories about the Iraqi / Chaldean immigrant community. She balanced work, activism, marriage, family, and kids. It‘s inspiring and could happen in any of our towns.

Susanita We read this for my book club several months ago. Pardon the pun, but I really expected it to be dry and boring. It wasn't at all! She seems like a warm and lovely person, and I hope she's able to take care of herself after all those long nights and trying times. 4y
