Had a blast today at Queers and Quills book convention!
There is always stress about how organized things are and how good the attendees will be. But not only did a bunch of attendees give volunteers presents (goodie bags, bookmarks, candy), but everyone was just lovely 😍.
Not a big ❤️ reader I didn't know most of the authors but everyone today was so nice, and we were packed! I am excited to help out again next year!! What a success.
pickI liked this second chance story about a retired MMA fighter, Aiden, who lost his wife to cancer and is starting over as a gym owner. Loved how protective he was of his daughter. Also, liked FMC too. Always love a strong FMC. My only issue is, it got a little ridiculous how Aiden thought 10 years was too much of an age gap and how he was hung up on the idea that he had not grieved enough. Minor stuff, still a good story. 3.5 🌟

pickThis book is a continuation of Henry and Abbi's story. This is book 2 and they need to be read in order. I'm totally invested with the characters; yet, I can't say I agree with all their actions. Henry is too arrogant and Abbi too immature for my taste. Despite this, I am enjoying these books. A testament to the prose. 4🌟
