#tuesdaytunes @TieDyeDude

Listening to this one today. Love Brian Eno, and this one is so calming. Just what I need. 💛💚💛

Ambient 1: Music for Airports

TieDyeDude I just bought a pair of noise canceling headphones. I think this would be work great with them next time I travel 😋 Thanks for sharing! 3mo
JamieArc Ooh. Brian Eno! I especially love an album he did with David Byrne. 3mo
Suet624 I went through a run in my life where that was the only DVD I played. Now I just listen to it every now and again, but I‘m so excited that you posted about this. I‘m going to go turn that on right now. 3mo

Bookwomble @dabbe I love this album, too ? Ambient 4: On Land is a bit more mournful and evocative, which I like, and Discreet Music is a bit special. ? Have you heard the collaboration Eno did with Harold Budd, "The Pearl"? That's a gorgeous album. 3mo
Bookwomble @JamieArc My Life in the Bush of Ghosts 🌴👻🌴 Fantastic album, which prompted me to read Amos Tutuola's book from which they took album name though they said they'd never read it themselves, but just really liked the title! 3mo
JamieArc @Bookwomble Everything that Happens will Happen Today is the album I‘m talking about, but I‘ll check out My Life… too 🎶 3mo
dabbe @TieDyeDude I think you'll love it. 🧡💜💛 3mo
dabbe @JamieArc I heard that one years ago. I'll have to give it a listen again! 🧡💜💛 3mo
dabbe @Suet624 It just makes my heartbeat calm down. 🧡💜💛 3mo
dabbe @Bookwomble No, I haven't heart that one. I'll add it to my Eno playlist. Thanks! 🧡💜💛 3mo
Bookwomble @JamieArc Oh, I haven't heard that one! Thanks for putting it in my radar 😊 3mo

Bookwomble Knowledge engenders more and more questions, perhaps? Or "one in, one out", but I don't think memory necessarily works that way, unless we're reaching cognitive overload. 6y
RamsFan1963 @Bookwomble I wonder if he means, as we learn new things, old preconceived notions we thought were true, like the earth is flat, are removed. So that way we learned something new, but also unlearned (is that a word?) something that turned out to be false. New facts replace old so we learn and discard ideas at the same time. 6y
Bookwomble Yes, I like that. 🙂 I think it's good to hold the fluidity of a concept and its many possibilities, rather than seeking to fix it in a single form. 6y
RamsFan1963 @Bookwomble I guess you can't truly learn unless you're open to the idea that everything you currently hold true might be wrong. That's why I find non-fiction history and science books so fascinating, that constant give and take between when I thought I knew to be true, and new facts/ ideas that change my viewpoint. 6y

I like to have noise in the background while I read. I found this app called Ambient Mixer and you can have all sorts of ambient noises in the background to set the mood while you read. Personally, I favor the Ravenclaw Common Room and the TARDIS.

ElaineHowlin Love this app 😍 I love one thats similar to Belle's library. Cant remember the name but it's Beauty and the Beast inspired as well. 7y
NotLiketheRoad @ElaineHowlin I have one like that Favorited as well! It‘s so nice to have running in the background. Silence makes me anxious. 7y
jmofo This is so nifty! Thank you for sharing! I have some field recordings I have taken that I use for this but most of them aren‘t as long as I like. I‘ll have to check this app out! 7y
