It is a really interesting book and does an excellent job portraying the thoughts and feelings of all of the characters. I'd highly recommend this one. pickJacqueline's memoire in verse is an excellent read and I highly recommend it. Her writing is stunning. You'll absolutely hear that hinge that was thirsty for oil and other vivid descriptions as you read. She covers a range of topics, including familial love, religious spirituality, loss, and being a child during the height of the Civil Rights Movement and end of segregation. #lgbtqauthors #bipocauthors #memoir #nonfiction
