I definitely read some fantastic books in 2019 and did relatively well DNFing books that I wasn‘t enjoying. But there were eight that I saw all the way through that I ended up giving low ratings to. EadieB @Butterflyamore Enjoyed your video. I only had 5 books out of 200 last year that were a waste of my time so I feel blessed. I read The Nightingale and I think that most people love Kristin Hannah's novels because she invokes a lot of emotional feelings. I enjoyed the book but it was not one of best ones. The one I enjoyed the most from her was The Great Alone. I think you should try that one. 5y
EadieB @Butterflyamone In regards to Claire McGowan, I may be prejudice because I love her Paula Maguire series. The Other Wife is not her best either but I do suggest you try at least the first book of her series and see if it's her writing or the subject matter that you don't like. 5y
