so-soIt‘s a book that‘s been on my TBR for a while and now I‘ve finished it. I needed to take breaks from it because some scenes were so gruesome. I cannot recommend this book and I don‘t ever want to read it again. If it‘s on your TBR, I wouldn‘t blame you for leaving it there. pickSome parts of Bret Easton Ellis‘ American Psycho seem ridiculous until you factor in Patrick Bateman‘s overall privilege. Even as he seems to the reader to unravel his friends brush that off as Patrick “ being Patrick.” The character in the movie is tame compared to the monster in the book. Some scenes I was prepared for but others went way beyond the movie‘s chainsaw scene. I‘m glad that I finished this book. #breteastonellis #americanpsycho
