I looked at a book list someone had made, ‘Books about incunabula and post-incunabula‘ and saw wonderful names I knew from the Renaissance. Now, I‘m looking back on a special memory from when my husband and I went to the Philadelphia library, upstairs, in the antique book room. Book 3 for #readingrush. A compilation of short stories from a small-town ER doc. I picked this up because I recently finished my trauma rotation in clinic and wanted to read another perspective. While I enjoyed the stories, I found it to be excessively dramatic and there was a lot of daydreaming about patient‘s lives which I didn‘t love reading about because it took away from the present story. Overall an ok read! #medicine #nonfiction

First look into what life as an ER doctor is like. Thoughtfully written and insightful. I particularly liked how he imagines what his patients lives were like.
