#favbookishfriendship One of my favorite bookish friendships is Elephant and Piggie from the series by Mo Willems. They're such a good model of friendship. And they're really funny. #augustphotochallenge #day7

The friendship between Junior and Rowdy is an amazing one. And because I spent many hours in their story today I do think they deserve a shoutout as a #favbookishfriendship (talk about good timing!) They weather some serious stuff and act very much like boys. I won't forget them any time soon....

Blair_Reads I just read this book. I completely agree! 8y

#AugustPhotoChallenge #day7 #favbookishfriendship I debated over several picks for today's challenge, but had to choose Kate Bloomfield & Emily Blair in Jean Little's books, some of my favorites in junior high. I remember wanting a friendship like theirs! Kate and Emily are both bookish and writerly. This book partly explores a rift between the two... one of the first times I encountered such a realistic portrayal of a fictional friendship. 💜📚👭

My #favbookishfriendship has to go to Sammy and Andy. This book had so much I love: unlikely friends who learn to trust each other, girls passing as boys, setting off on a journey, adventures, horses, and a violin. Plus, that cover is gorgeous!

My #favbookishfriendship is Elizabeth and Aisling from Light a Penny Candle. Behold the 1982 copy I stole from my mom! This is the first book I read that made me think about friendships, specifically between women, and how they last and how they change. And in the end it taught me that we all need our female friends for things even our husbands can't give us. 💜🕯#augustphotochallenge #augustofpages

Pickpick

One of my #favbookishfriendship this summer came from Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl. Such a fun book and a mediocre movie. Earl was a great pal.

For today's #augustphotochallenge: #favbookishfriendship goes to Milo and Tock! I've loved this book from childhood and have read 100's of times and told many students about it. Even better, a new movie is in the works #day7 #augustofpages

TheSpinecrackersBookClub I've picked up this book so many times in stores due to the cover but for some reason I never buy it. 8y
The_Literary_Jedi @TheSpinecrackersBookClub - I would remind myself to buy it and end up choosing something else for a long time too - but finally bought it after Yallwest last year when I saw a special anniversary edition a person had 8y
