I had an Erich Segal “phase” sometime in college (which started by reading Love Story, of course), and think this was one of the novels I read at that time. And it‘s about a bunch of college students as well, so it fits the prompt perfectly.

panEverybody in this book was weird. Penelope seems a bit clueless as to academic life (not quite sure how she got into Harvard…). There was a lot of crushes that everyone was having on everyone else; it rarely seemed to be reciprocated. None of the characters were likeable, in my opinion, so I didn‘t really care all that much what happened and if they ever got together
Hope you‘re feeling better, Maya! This is Penelope - she‘s no doctor but she thinks cute photos of pets are the best medicine. She wishes she could see you in person and give you some get-well kisses but hopes this photo is an okay substitute.
