We‘re about 2/3 through the book of Acts! Any verses/thoughts/takeaways you‘d like to share from this book so far? #BibleBuddyRead
#WeeklyWrapUp

BookBabe I am finding the book of Acts to be VERY exciting this go-around! 😃 2y
Daisey I'm very much appreciating this read of Acts as well. I've read it through before, but having recently read more of the Old Testament, especially Isaiah, and the Gospels, it's making more of an impact this time. 2y
CogsOfEncouragement I appreciate this passage so much: But Peter said, “By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.” Again a voice came to him a second time, “What God has cleansed, no longer consider unholy.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:14-15‬ ‭

Hi #BibleBuddyRead friends, dare I ask if you would like to share your thoughts on Song of Songs? 🙈 Also the Psalms we read 😄
#WeeklyWrapUp

CogsOfEncouragement Like a lily among the thorns,
So is my darling among the maidens.
‭‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬ This is one of my favorites. It makes me think about what a blessing we are to our husband in this life that can be difficult.

It‘s time for some #WeeklyWrapUp book talk for the #BibleBuddyRead!

This past week we read the entire book of Ecclesiastes, as well as Psalms 97-106.
I‘m really curious what you thought of Ecclesiastes in particular…for me, this reading was very different from my first.

Favorite (or most memorable) verse(s) from the week?

What are your thoughts/takeaways?

What stood out to you the most from what we read?

Daisey My favorite passage is the beginning of Ecclesiastes chapter 3. It continually reminds me that things change and we don‘t always have to do the same things. 2y
CogsOfEncouragement I agree with Daisey Ecc 3:1-8 helps me keep things in perspective. I need to focus on the priorities of the season I am in. I strive to enjoy each season - for instance: my kids are nearly grown, I do not mourn for when they were tiny, I enjoy life with them at this stage. 2y
quirkyreader I third it. I recite 3 everyday especially to get me ready for the day. 2y

Get excited, #BibleBuddyRead friends—this week we‘re reading the book of John! I broke out the big guns for this one, the MacArthur Study Bible, because I don‘t want to miss a thing. ❤️

I love MacArthur‘s comment: “The reader must prayerfully and meticulously explore the book, in order to discover the vast richness of the spiritual treasures that the apostle, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, has lovingly deposited in his gospel.”

CogsOfEncouragement So much to cling to in today‘s reading. John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. 2y

I really enjoy the Word of Promise Audio Bible, and the Deuteronomy reading & accompanying background music is outstanding. Paired it today with my NKJV study Bible for some immersion reading. I‘ve heard many audio Bible readings but this one is by far the best IMHO.

(if you want to get it, note that Audible comes with a PDF of TOC, but  Books comes with actual labeled chapters and books)

BookBabe @Avanders I‘m a major audiobook‘er too, especially now that I‘m a mom! ❤️ 3y

Pickpick

This book shares God‘s truth about heaven from a trusted Pastor who has studied God‘s word thoroughly. I learned so much about what is to come from reading this book! I will definitely read it again!
