pickI only read seven chapters of The Scarlet Letter way back in 2003 as a tiny baby sophomore in high school. I don‘t know if it was because someone was MAKING me read it that I rebelled, or if it was really that the writing just didn‘t gel with me. But I picked this up regardless, and I‘m SO glad I did. Excellent writing, brilliant protagonist. Maybe I‘ll even try to tackle The Scarlet Letter again. #hester #laurielicoalbanese
