(Book 2 of 2025) Just wow! Everything was perfect from this book. The writing, the story, the world building, the characters! This was my first time reading something by Yarros and it definitely will not be the last because I have to finish this series! Yarros makes you go through all the emotions. It's written in such a manner that you can practically feel the fire, smell the scent of sweat and FEEL that sexual tension! See Comments....

The conclusion of this series has left me kind of disappointed. Everything worked out the way I expected, hoped for even, but it wasn't done in a satisfying way. The ending is definitely more of a happy for now situation, of which I've never been a fan. I really feel like there should be more to the story, but there isn't.
Okay, so this was surprisingly very simple, but still really good. There was a lot of development about how certain people felt about each other, but nothing has been determined yet. I'm curious as to how this is all going to work out in the end.
So not a lot happened in this beginning volume, however, I did enjoy it. I will probably see where the rest of it goes, but I don't really have any expectations. I do forsee a love triangle forming, which means the rest of the series could be full of drama.
The jumping timeline was confusing at first, but interesting. It was the music references and lyrics that had me lost. And the relationships aren‘t the best, even though I could feel Asher‘s love. Why did the thing at the penultimate chapter even happen?? It‘s just so much back and forth. Well written, but not my fav.
