This one I could not put down. The sequel to These Hollow Vows picks up right after that book and unloads a whole lot of fun, entertaining story that builds on all the groundwork laid down in the first book while getting better and better. Yeah it‘s occasionally overwrought but it‘s a well developed world, characters make interesting choices (and not always the obvious ones), and the conclusion is satisfying. A good YA fantasy I really enjoyed.

When all your library holds come in at once 😳🤯 hopefully I can get through some before the other holds come in.

Clwojick This always happens when I‘m maxed out on loans. Then I have to rush to finish some before my hold expires 😂 13mo
Ash.on.the.line @Clwojick same here 😂 they let me hold 20 but only can check out 10. Things pile up ha! 13mo

This is the follow up book to These Hollow Vows and as the first book, loved the conclusion. Brie has to use her wits to navigate the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, to figure out who to trust and also who she actually is.

I really enjoyed this duology. While I don't think she's quite up to Maas level when writing a faerie story, I would still pick up future fantasy books by this author. Plus, it was a fantastic love triangle.

I am very satisfied with the ending to this duology. This one focused on truth, friendship and attempts at redemption. It was truly a story about sacrifice for the greater good- who doesn‘t love that? Will miss these characters for sure. Could have easily been a trilogy so wonder why we only get two books? #seriesread2022

Though I ultimately enjoyed this book, I didn‘t find it as memorable as the first. Things seemed rushed and I didn‘t always follow the logic of the problems/ solutions/ explanations. However, the characters were sweet, as was the story.

I really enjoyed this sequel! Abriella‘s character stayed true to her original wants and goals which was great, because that typically doesn‘t happen in a fantasy book once the MC meets and is with her love interest. Felt a bit ACOTAR-ish at the end but still a fun ending. I wanted her to kick a couple people‘s asses more but that‘s probably just me.
Side note: fuck that guy on the cover, 2/10 would not recommend him

I loved These Hollow Vows and was looking forward to These Twisted Bonds. I think I enjoyed book one a little more than book two, but they are both solid reads. The tension remains with the two sexy princes, although I rolled my eyes a bit that every male seems to find Brie irresistible. Still, very cool magic concepts were introduced in this book. Highly recommend to fans of S J Maas and Holly Black.

This was a solid conclusion to this duology. I enjoyed my time with these characters and felt that this was a very quick yet satisfying read. Fantasy read with romance storyline. But the romance is not the main part of the book.
