Lesanne @BarbaraTheBibliophage I have found the family history much more interesting than I thought I would. And I know some have said it presents nothing new fact-wise but I‘m struck by the perspective of someone that lived within the dysfunction. I‘m enjoying it! 4y

They are acting like they always have FYI. Scares the hell out of me that trump could do four more years. 4y

As the child of a family that suffered from addiction in every single branch of the family tree, this b.s. just makes me livid. I have to say, the lying that becomes toxic positivity can be incredibly harmful as well.

p.s. I finished the book this morning. Had an important family task to accomplish today, so I didn‘t get to post more. Here they come!!

SiameseCatsRead This reminds me of my mom. As a teenager (1960s), she was gifted a "pocket book" by my grandmother (her mom). My mom hated it, and ungratefully gave it back. Words were exchanged, and now my grandmother uses it as a bathroom trash container!!! She regifts it to my mom, and the next year, my mom regifts it to her. At least we've all gotten a good laugh out of it! 4y
