Reccomended for ages 4-8 this sweet story about a curious girl and the unlikely friendship with a kind crow is a real hit in our house! My daughter is much like Chloe so she immediately connected with this story. Based on a real story this book is great for young nature lovers. Such a sweet story of friendship. The illustrations are so cute and eye pleasing too! Out in March

These Nancy Drew diaries are great reads! I enjoy Bess and George‘s help when solving mysteries. Perfect for middle grade readers who like mystery.

This post is partly a #minibookreview (read this Spiegelman book about 9-11) and partly a way to visually recall 9-11. I was in Sweden on vacation when I learned about the planes crashing into the Twin Towers. I‘ll never forget watching Swedish tv and trying to find an Internet cafe (it was long before smart phones) to try to make sense of it all.

This one hits hard. Showing that sexual assult knows no gender. It can happen to anyone. Tamblyn does an excellent job here. I think this is an important book for our current society. A must-read! I finished it last month and I'm still thinking about it.

I am confounded. This book was so heartbreaking, it was painful for me to read and I rushed through it so I wouldn't have to think about it anymore. But it was also so full of truth, and, in a way, beauty. I can't decide whether to give it one star or five. #minibookreview

I guess the ending didn't satisfy me. But otherwise, exquisite, beautiful Lamott. Also, so excruciating, to think of all the ways in which my children might manipulate me in not so many years. I literally had nightmares. 5 🌟 #minibookreview

You'd have to be a cold hearted monster not to love Frank. But the narrator is just as horribly self involved as she finally realizes herself to be, and the writing is only okay. 3 🌟 #minibookreview
