I posted my review of this yesterday, but the rest of my IRL book club (7 childhood friends who I adore) is way behind. So, as their leader, 🤓💁🏼‍♀️ I revamped the reading schedule. They aren‘t spastic mega readers like me and I don‘t want them to get stressed. I think limiting our reading to about 50 pages a week is how we‘ll proceed. My book is marked up and ready for discussions. #bookclubbook

Reviewsbylola It‘s hard to remember sometimes that not everyone is a spastic reader like us. 😂 4y
britt_brooke @Reviewsbylola I know! 😆 I‘m like, why is it so hard to read one book a month?!! 4y
vivastory If you're not a spastic reader, are you really living your best life? 🤔 4y

cherinium This makes me laugh. I loaned my copy of Where the Crawdads Sing to a coworker. After about a week, I asked her if she liked it. She told me she did, then told me what part she was on...she wasn't even a quarter of the way through it yet. In the end, it took her about 2 months to read it. I still can't wrap my brain around it. And I don't read nearly as many books as many Littens do. 🐌🐌🐌 4y
britt_brooke @cherinium 😆 I know, it blows my mind because reading is such a priority for me. 🤯 It‘s going to take my group two months to get through this one. I read it in 12 days which was pretty slow for me. I was trying to keep pace with our schedule, but got hooked and had to finish it! 4y
Eggs “Spastic mega readers” 🤣🤣 4y
saresmoore 50 pages a week?! Sorry, clearly spastic over here, but that‘s such a low dose, I‘d go through withdrawals! 4y
britt_brooke @saresmoore 😆 I know!! And that‘s why I‘m already finished. I can‘t draw a book out that long. Most of these ladies read a book per month (or less) last year. It‘s hard for me to calm down. I‘m probably driving them nuts! 4y
britt_brooke @Eggs 🤗😆 4y
LeahBergen Yikes! I feel you. 😆😆 4y
saresmoore It‘s amazing how different are the priorities of most people. I often hear, “Oh, lucky you to read so much as a SAHM!” Yes, I‘m obviously watching less TV and earning less money than you, but I don‘t read because I have more leisure time... 🙄 4y
britt_brooke @saresmoore EXACTLY. I‘m always curious just how much tv some of those folks watch. Husband and I watch almost none. Reading is a priority. People think they don‘t have time to read, but they just don‘t choose to carve out a few minutes here and there throughout the day. 4y
saresmoore Same! It‘s very good for mental health and our marriage, too. 4y
britt_brooke @saresmoore 100% agree. 💚 4y
britt_brooke @LeahBergen Book clubs make me crazy! I don‘t know why I let them talk me into it this year. Good thing I love them! 😂💚 4y
britt_brooke @she.epeolatry Thanks! 💚 4y
ferskner Wait. WHAT?!?!? 4y
