geodynamical_nonfiction Marshall Rosenberg regards positive, judgemental praise as life-alienating communication. Positive judgements such as "charming" "brilliant" or "beautiful" do not show appreciation for what the other person actually did. Judgemental praise in the workplace or the classroom seems to get results at first, but soon the receiver of the praise sees the praise as manipulation and productivity lessens. 7y
