There's been some I loved, and some I hated. I'm planning on reading Holes, and I do actually love that movie. But as I'm sure you all know by now that I LOVE Mr Poppers Penguins. I love that book. I was so excited to see the movie when it came out and I was so so so disappointed. They changed the whole main character... his job, his family situation. It was heartbreaking. I honestly sat there going NOPE nope NOPE until we shut it off. 😤

Bookgirl Usually I do not like movies made from books. Most recent disappointment was Wonder 😕 7y
KrystleTheBookSlayer I don't think I have any rereads that were turned into a movie, but I was super disappointed in the original Series of Unfortunate Events movie. 7y

Clwojick @Krystle1 AGREEED! I don't terribly mind the Netflix version, but I didn't like the first movie 7y
KrystleTheBookSlayer I don't mind the Netflix version, although it's definitely a bit different from the books. It did the series much more justice than that horrid movie (5th grade me was very disappointed)! 7y
tournevis There is, possibly, the tagged book. The film was good and fine and much more likable than the book I de.tes.ted, but read twice times in school. 7y
Les Portes Tournantes, Jacques Savoie: Itineraires Didactiques
SandyW There are so many movies that are nothing like the book, so now I go to the movies with an open mind. Often it's the casting that trips me up. Seriously, whoever thought Tom Cruise would make a good Jack Reacher- Reacher is supposed to be 6+ ft tall and have a distinctly military look about him! 7y
