First day off after some a really rough week of work (and training a new employee). I have a ton of laundry to catch up! Good thing I am pretty engrossed in this #Audio.
so-soI always enjoy audiobooks set in Australia & this performance is no exception! Mary‘s recently moved to Sydney with her childhood best friend, looking for a fresh start after getting out of a bad relationship. When she welcomes a new flatmate, Rachel, Mary feels an instant connection despite the wariness of her other friends. Fast-paced & incorporating journal entries, it certainly held some surprises in the plot though they‘re not all plausible!
I was out and arrived late and saved the best for last-open #LittleChristmasSwap box 🙌I‘m so happy with this package, the book😱I really wanted it excellent choice @dabbe 😘This is the first time I receive a book in that cute bag and is my first “corner” bookmark, so pretty 😍I saw them in instagram. The chocolate are in the fridge because I like that combination of mint and chocolate very cold😋The potato stix can is perfect for the weekend😋⬇️
pickYet another audio that got us through November; some mystery, some intrigue, how reliable are these narrators (particularly mom), trauma on trauma....so much going on and I definitely wanted to know what was up by the end. I saw some of it coming but was surprised by a good twist. I will say, in comparison to Push, I liked Push more (and that felt more realistic than this).
pickFreida McFadden didn‘t disappoint with this novel. There were so many twists I wasn‘t sure how it would end. Sam and Abby have been married for years and have been unsuccessful in having a baby. Monica, Abby‘s assistant volunteers to be a surrogate for them. Lots of things go wrong, of course. The characters were wrapped up some I liked and others were not good humans. 4/5
I couldn‘t find the correct blurb for this title. 🤷🏻♀️😬 Tackle the TBR 🤓📚

so-soI almost always find McFadden's books to be well developed with a complete out of left field twist at the end. This time around I came away somewhat disappointed. The story stressed me out something fierce, which isn't neceoa bad thing, but I want it to all come together in the end. And with this #audiobook, I didn't even like the ending. Some of the twist I was down for; however, the actual ending itself seemed contrived and irritating. 3.5 ⭐
bailedCan‘t listen to it. The narration is truly awful. Breathy and weak and utterly terrible.
