Wanted to put together a small show of support to the #blacklivesmatter movement. There are some #ownvoices from American writers and some Indigenous Australians. There are some non fiction texts and picture books. I also printed out a copy of the 2017 Uluru Statement from the Heart. Trying to get the kids to #educatethemselves on these issues. #librarydisplay #readingmatters

Reading this gem of a book. Love this author! I always learn something new from her. It‘s incredible that she finds different perspectives of history that aren‘t usually talked about or even taught in schools. I feel like a more well rounded person after delving into her stories. She makes you question what you do and do not know

1. My fave book is Sweet Tooth by Ian McEwan because...because... ok there are too many reasons. Just go read it.
2. No. I fall in love with a new one every time I read.
3. Graceling. I am sick to death of man-bashing combat queens.
4. I reread old faves because it makes me feel centered and beats valium. 😂
