I can‘t explain why but I picked this up yesterday and now I need to read the whole series.

“It simply means treat otters the same way you'd like otters to treat you.“
I love this book because as a kid my dad used to read it to us all the time. He thought us that the golden rule was the most important rule.
This book is a fun book about the golden rule. The author uses a play on words and make the book about otters to replace the word others. I like how the book explains that if you want to be treated a certain way then you got to treat others the same.
Nobody swung until Mean Jean swung.Nobody kicked until Mean Jean kicked.Nobody bounced until Mean Jean bounced.
The pictures that the illustrator used really emphasize that mean jean is a bully they make her look unfriendly.
This book is a good book, where mean jean takes over! The author uses punctuation and font sizing to really add effect into this book. The theme of standing up for others in this book is super important because all children need to know how to.
The pages are turning yellow. The spine sounds a little crunchy, but I could not discard these brave hens who stood before the king and his chicken dinner and glass of wine in his high chair.
I have read this book with my PDS classes before and I always ask probing questions throughout the story and afterwards and I‘m always blown away by the wonderful things my students come up with.
