I‘m prepping for a new unit with my Year 12s on revolutions in History and this text predictably communicated lots of great content, concisely and at an accessible level for my kids. This series is a super reliable starting point for me. This particular text offers a great mix of analysis of common features of revolutions and the conditions they arise in, as well as thematically grouped summaries of significant revolutions.

Lcsmcat Kudos on trying to teach kids connections in history. I think too often we miss them in an attempt to organize history into timelines, and that does us all a disservice. 1y

I love me some George Orwell, so naturally I had to read this graphic novel that was adapted and illustrated by ODYR.
I loved the drawings, and the layout of the book flowed nicely... Definitely a GN I will be reading over and over again!

I got this graphic novel version of Animal Farm as a gift. I had never read the original novel so I honestly can‘t say how it compares, but the drawings are delightful (well, except for the gory ones). Lots of great animal pictures (and a few pages of graphic terribleness). The parts where it gets real were a little tough to look through admittedly. It‘s not that bad but if you are sensitive to that stuff I would advise against it.

Is anyone else having issues with Goodreads and logging books read. I put that i finished a book on 01/15/18 and neither through deskview or app is it showing in my challenge 🤬

Chasing_Pages I had the same problem yesterday. I pulled up the book, selected currently reading then finished again and rated it again and then it finally showed up. It actually then registered I read it twice so I edited my reading history for the book and just deleted my first log of it. Hope that makes since. 6y

silentrequiem It's a big they've been working on fixing for months! Mark the book currently reading before read to have it show up. Sigh. It's annoying. I hope it gets fixed soon! 6y

DivineDiana Yes! I finished a book today and it is not showing in my read books section nor is it in the reading challenge completed books. Glad to know that I am not alone! 🤔 6y

ReadingRover Did you add the dates you started and finished it to the review section? Last year there was a glitch and if the dates were blank it wouldn‘t add them on its own so it wouldn‘t register. Try that. Btw Chet &Bernie are so much fun! I love those books!!! 6y

MicheleinPhilly I was having that problem on Monday. I deleted and added the book over and over. It finally “registered” the read date yesterday. 😒 6y

Kaye I think I saw a note in be of the groups that GR was going to be getting some type of updates or maintenance work so it might not work properly til that was done. 6y
