John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite artists and Madame X is my favorite painting. I so enjoyed this story of the creation of this portrait of Virginie Gautreau. Always visit this great work of art when I go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. #artrelatedbooks #seasonreading2016
