Four of the 13 books I‘ve read so far this year. All of them recently released Western Australian fiction. All of them excellent reads: 2 debuts and 2 by seasoned authors.
I‘ve been pondering....am I just more aware of what‘s out there? Is little old WA (population not geographical size!) punching well above it‘s literary weight? Or am I just biased? 🤷♀️

I love so much of what Europa publishes so I was happy to discover this on IG. Have you read any of these? I have a copy of The Golden Age, but have yet to read it.
I am half way through this engaging read #setinmytown. It is reminding me of another book that was quite a sensation, also featuring a grumpy old man, but set on the other side of the world. I‘m sure many of you know the book I mean. Anyone else read them both and drawn the same comparison?
