Got in a few hours for the #AwesomeAugust #readathon by #audioknitting to the 1st Anita Blake novel. This series is a bit of a “guilty pleasure” for me(though I think the term should be abolished for books. You like what you like🤷🏻♀️)I don‘t read many romance books but this series starts off more as a crime book that happens to have hot vampires in it(and scary ass ones too). How‘s your readathon going? #audiocrafting #slytherincoloursnext
5feet.of.fury The early ones were so good, they do go completely off the rails… I still read them though 🤣 2y
Tamra Seeing yarn now makes me as happy as books! 😃 What are you making and how do you like that yarn? I‘m looking for a cotton that is soft, but absorbent enough for kitchen use. 2y
Lizpixie @5feet.of.fury me too😋 2y

Lizpixie @Tamra I‘m knitting a cuddle blanket for my grandson. I‘m liking the yarn very much, it‘s the first time I‘ve worked with cotton so there was a learning curve but I‘ve got the hang of it now. It‘s soft enough without being too soft, not sure of the absorbency though. I‘ve liked it enough to buy Fiddlesticks Superb Big for a shawl I want to knit next. It‘s an anti pilling acrylic but it‘s sooo soft. I‘m a bit of a yarn hoarder too🧶🧶🧶 2y
Tamra @Lizpixie oh I can see why! 😅😆 I‘ve liked working with cotton so far. It‘s just a tad sticky so it doesn‘t tend to fall off the needles for me, but that could be the brand. I‘ve just ordered some Dishie cotton yarn from Knitpicks. 🤞🏾🤞🏾 Dish towels are the perfect learning projects for various stitches! 2y
Lizpixie @Tamra I found that switching to metal needles helped tremendously with the movement of the yarn. I started on Knit Pro Symfonie wooden circular needles & had trouble so switched to Chia Goo metal needles & haven‘t looked back.👍 2y
Tamra @Lizpixie good to know, thank you! 2y
Andrew65 I agree, why should it be a guilty pleasure. I love a good romance, and what would be termed Chick Lit! A great start time 👏👏👏 2y
