Did I read it in one sitting? Yes. Would I recommend it to anyone? No. Go for it if you like extreme horror - all the trigger warnings possible. Haha - what a wild ride.

This is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Pulpy horror with a killer creature that has to be one of the least dangerous threats ever depicted in horror. That was indeed why I was interested in the first place. Even thought this book is bad, I still got a lot out of it and had lots of fun talking about it on the podcast for our month of horror books. 🌟dipped my toe in extreme horror to see what all@the controversy surrounding this sub-genre is all about. YouTube wars between an author and YouTube reviewer. Well, thank goodness this was short. I love horror, but don‘t need to be grossed out. Nothing scary about it. Cheap thrills. But cool for those that do. Not for me, first and last one.

How are you gonna write all this fucked up shit and go and write a lame ending?!! Like come on dude…. Other than the ending I didn‘t have any issues with the book. The pictures spaced throughout the book were awesome though. And even though one of the characters got what was coming to them, I felt like he slacked off at the end. It‘s still a fantastic read though. I‘d rate it 3 maybe 4 stars

Just your typical inbred, cannibal family stalking, torturing and eating a few city slickers. Loved it!

I asked for “shocking and wild” recommendations and @Reggie really delivered with this one! It was gory, gross, and violent. The characterization isn‘t very deep and the plot is uncomplicated. Started slowly but when the action started, WHEW BOY, it escalated quickly and never let up. It was absolutely wild.

Squeamish readers should probably pass on this one.

Thanks, Reggie! This is exactly what I was looking for.😊

Reggie Lol, Yayyyy, I‘m glad it was what you wanted! 9mo
TheLudicReader Yep. This is a doozy. I really enjoyed it though. Wonder what that says about me. 9mo

Indie Author Brawl! Well, this was disgusting and horrible and contained one of the grossest scenes I‘ve ever read, and yet…I was really rooting for these kids. It‘s very well written, and I was invested in the story. It‘s like Squid Games, but with kids…and more violent.

Reggie Do you ever watch the VHS movies. The ones that are anthology usually found footage films. There‘s one that has a story about a Double Dare knock off and what happens to these kids competing to get a wish. It Gets Crazy. 10mo
Lauranahe I think I‘ve seen the first one, but not the others. I keep meaning to watch them! 10mo
