I was all over this book. I finished it in two days as I couldn‘t put it down and it was worth it. Seeing the actual plot actually make it more intense, you need to read it. Spicy 🌶️

Very explicit sex. Absolutely not something I could see happening in real life. You just have to suspend belief and go with it. The story moved along briskly and I liked the main characters. About halfway through it changes to a mobster story. I wasn‘t expecting that. I liked the writing style.

4.2⭐️ oh man, I have never wanted to recommend/not recommend a book so bad in my life. This book is the depravity at its best… Or worse… Depending on how you take it. This isn‘t dark romance, it is straight out horror and brutality. Is there a romance aspect? I guess you could say that. You can also say a Stockholm syndrome, but I can see why she ends up with the guy at the end. As always, CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS! This had me physically ill!

I know I only have 46 minutes left but I realized this book is irritating me. I‘m not sure if I just suddenly started noticing the writing was rough or if the writing took a bad turn at 70% (it was passable before, not amazing but not the worst). I maybe should have bailed way back when the characters were laughably thirsty all the time or when the author used the sound of stirring wet macaroni as a description in a sex scene 😐

Warning: proceed with caution! No, for real. This isn‘t even the darkest thing I‘ve ever read, and I was very confused about my feelings. I wanted some dark horror romances this Halloween, and I‘m gonna say this one didn‘t disappoint. But it had me questioning my own sanity a couple times. I‘m not gonna say don‘t read it, because I‘m gonna read number two. Just check your trigger warnings, please. 3.6⭐️
This was my first foray into smutty romance. It was ok, all of its a bit cliche which was my original hesitation. It ends on a cliffhanger to get you to keep reading, but the kind that gives zero resolution at all. I liked her friendship with her coworker—that‘s the best part

This is a crazy book. It is a thriller/romance, but the male lead acts like a stalker and I can't understand why any woman would put up with his behavior. But rather than reporting him to anyone, Adeline just allows him to continue.
Part of the plot involves Z trying to shut down human traffickers.
Reading this was fun and crazy. Most of it made no sense. This is more of a mood than anything else.
