I've been playing #bookspin with @TheAromaofBooks since it's 2nd month. However, this is the 1st time I've ever gotten a bingo!! 🎉 My boyfriend always gives me a hard time because I'll read 10 books on the board, but never the ones in a line. 🤷‍♀️ I also give myself more of a challenge (like I need it 🤣) by checking the free spaces off in order.

I've loved playing #bookspinbingo . I'm grateful that it makes me read some of my physical TBR 🤣

LiteraryinLawrence Congrats on the bingo! 2mo

Claire Kent is quickly becoming a favorite author. This is the 4th book of hers that I've read and loved. Princess is book 2 in Kent's apocalyptic series, but the third book she has written in the world. I'm obsessed with the world she's created and all the couples that have come from it. Mix romance and Walking Dead vibes and you get this series.

📚 I separate my read and unread, then attempt to organize by genre. Doesn't always work out that way.

📚 Mainly the living room and bedroom, but all over the house really lol

📚 I mainly buy physical, but I love ebooks. Normally, my ebooks were free, library, or KU books. I like both hardcover and paperback.

I don't often pre-order books, but I needed this one from the moment I heard about it. Enemies to lovers. Cassie was going to photograph her friends new lingerie line until the friend asked her to model it instead. Now, they must use a rival photographer, Reid, to get the photo and sparks fly. Plus size rep too. Love to see it.

It releases July 19, so not long to wait.

Shadow of the Batgirl does a great job of introducing a new Batgirl. The messages this book had about being who you wanted to be regardless of your upbringing were fantastic and the found family dynamic was great. This will make this a great addition to my classroom.

This is my first #bookspinbingo free space read for the month. How do you all use free spaces? I make myself check them off in order, so this is #21.

This book is a little confusing since it goes by two names. I read it from the library under the name Bad Mommy, but I could only find it on Goodreads under the name in the picture. This is one of those books where you read it and feel the need to talk about it with someone cause wtf? This is my first Tarryn Fisher, so I have high hopes for her other books.

This book is very accurately described as Scooby Doo meets H.P. Lovecraft. I went back and forth between really enjoying it and absolutely hating it. Therefore, it's landed here in so-so land. The action and mystery was fun, but I hated the romance and all the unneeded descriptions. I really wish I could've just cut out about 1/3 of it. However, it has made me want to rewatch some episodes of Scooby Doo.

I loved this post-apocalyptic romance. If you liked Daryl and The Walking Dead, then this book is for you. Four years after the world falls apart, Layne has lost everyone she loves. Trying to find a new, safe place to be she runs into Travis - the man who used to fix her car. They team up to try to find survivors.

😍 it's available in #KindleUnlimited. There's even another book set in the world that I plan on reading soon.

After hearing all of the hype surrounding this book, I finally had to give it a try. Not a favorite romance, but it was a lot of fun. I found the language barrier and navigation of their different cultures to be entertaining. I will definitely read more of this series. (I've actually already read book 2 🤭). I really enjoyed discovering the world Ruby Dixon is building.

I was once an innocent, kind reader headed into this book. I enjoyed the first 100 pages or so, unknowing what was to come. I started to get frustrated. Surely, the MMC wasn't actually going to act this way. Then I became absolutely angry cause yes, yes he was.

In short, I hate this book. But, on a positive note, I have read my #bookspin book for the month. Lol

Scochrane26 I‘ve noticed after rereading romances like this one in the last few years (from when I was a ya in ‘90s) that the more modern ones have more feminism & consent. Older ones are much more questionable. I like Sherry Thomas & other popular present-day authors. (edited) 9mo
TheAromaofBooks 😬 I just read a couple of the reviews for this one. I can make some allowance for older romances where the dude is a little pushy, but this sounds way over-the-top, like how could anyone think this was romantic?? 9mo

The Marionettes is a NA vampire/witch book that was pretty fun to read. It is set at a school, and gave me slight Harry Potter vibes. There were some annoying aspects, such as the lack of conclusions. If you want ANY answers for the plot lines here, you'll have to read on in the series. 🙄 The book could have also beniffited from some more explanation of the world. However, I still had a good time reading it.

I finished this short story a few days ago on my drive to work. It's available on Kindle Unlimited and in Audible. The narrator, Rebecca Lowman, is my favorite audiobook narrator. I will listen to anything she reads. I enjoyed this short story, but I think it was too soon for me to read a book about covid. It was such a strange experience hearing about the pandemic in a story. I need to be transported to a world without a pandemic. Lol

This cover is definitely a win but a lot of the story seemed surface level so I struggled to connect to the characters. Marly's parents have both died recently, so there are heavy grief topics here as Marly tries to figure out her life without them. There's a dash of a romance as well. I did enjoy the photography, hiking, camping, and traveling aspects of the book. I just thought the main story was missing a little bit of magic for me.

I skimmed the majority of this one. Cute concept, but bad execution. I was just bored and had hit my eye rolling limit about 5 chapters in. The way the male character constantly talked about all the "attractive" women all the time drove me nuts. However, the cover is adorable and it was free for Kindle so I can't complain too much.
