On Canaan's Side: A Novel | Sebastian Barry
Pickpick

This was so devastating - as so many of his books. So much going on: immigrant life, racial identity and passing, inter generational trauma, familial grief and love.

Ghost Ship | Clive Cussler, Graham Brown

I‘ve never read an action book before, mainly because I find action movies such a snore fest! A little confusing at times, particularly trying to keep up with all the different aspects of the story. However, It didn‘t take much to get into the story and it kept me entertained throughout. A change is as good as a rest, as they say!

I know there is research about the poles exchanging places (shivers). I don't doubt the science, but I do doubt that it could happen by technology. The science fiction was a little bit too farfetched for me. I read it in two sittings though because the action was awesome as in all Cussler books.

My least favourite book by Barry so far. I prefer his less epic novels with a smaller, more domestic setting.

Pricel101 I concur! Days Without End was long- but beautifully entertaining I thought. My fave is 6y
TrishB @Pricel101 that‘s my fav too! 6y

Your standard Cussler novel, but this one read faster than the last few. It‘s like the book version of NCIS :)

More #bookhaul from my dad. He is an avid reader too so now I own every Clive Cussler book, James Patterson (which I introduced him too!)(we love the womens murder club) and David Balducci. He has definitely helped fill my library. Thanks Dad!

Nute I love a father-daughter book relationship. It seems like it‘s more of a rarity and so it‘s sounds magical to me. Congratulations to you and your father!🙂 6y
