Megabooks @Cinfhen they‘ve stopped doing #BOTM related posts due to BOTM being rude to and deleting posts by black instagrammers specifically #thestackspod. Sorry to speak for you @stuck.in.the.stacks but that‘s the best I understand from following your Instagram. 4y

stuck.in.the.stacks @Cinfhen yeah so basically some Black bookstagrammers called out BOTM for the lack of diversity in their selections on their IG feed and instead of engaging in helpful doscissing, BOTM deleted comments and blocked the bookstagrammers. They released a statememt promiskng to be more diverse but have made no effort to properly apologize for these BIPOC bookstagrammers that they silenced and blocked. 4y

swishandflick I did see them post an apology on that Instagram post, but I was really late to the situation. I know it took several days for them to do that. 4y
Cinfhen I think you took the right course of action. It‘s a shame that BOTM really bumbled this BADLY. They had an opportunity to use their platform and instead they unfortunately showed poor judgment. I‘m going to miss your sleuthing!!!! I only have a few credits left and then I‘ll probably let my account go. 4y

stuck.in.the.stacks @Cinfhen if you want to jump ship now, Page One Books will honor every BOTM credit you have left when you switch to Page One with a book by a POC for every credit you had left. 4y
