Do yourself a favor and do not read this horrible toxic garbage- especially if you have anxiety, PTSD, grief and/or any sort of associated triggers. Disclaimer: I didn't know anything going into this book or know anything about the author. I thought it was it was going to be funny. 🤦‍♀️ The author unfortunately takes himself seriously, I'm curious to see if or how much he's respected in this field. #throwitacrosstheroom

Gezemice Haha, I tried listening to it and bailed after 15 minutes. The author was so full of himself, and sounded like an angry person who couldn‘t care less. Sorry, not someone to get life advice from. 5y
Megabooks Yikes! Sounds terrible!!! 5y
kricheal @Gezemice He totally invalidates people's pain. A Man was grieving for a child that he lost. The Man asked for advice from the author about his grief, the author basically(paraphrasing) said he made the choice to have grief.-- wth like that would be something he just turn off. The author wrote the book for his own ego, not to actually help anyone. 5y

kricheal https://themighty.com/2019/02/toxic-positivity-support/ I'm not sure if this is the original source, I've seen this image floating around between fb and insta for a couple of months. It was the first thing I had in mind for this book @Itchyfeetreader 5y
kricheal @Itchyfeetreader the op is in the link I posted, but it this article does a great job expanding upon toxic positively. If you have Instagram I encourage you to follow her.☺️ 5y
Crazeedi Sound advice, wouldn't pick this book 5y
ElizaMarie Thanks for the heads up! 5y
Gezemice @kricheal That‘s absolutely awful. What an asshole. Definitely not someone to ask for advice. 5y
Itchyfeetreader Thank you so much 5y

It's so hard for me to give this book a ⭐️⭐️ rating. I wanted to like it so much. But I'd be lying if I didn't. I really enjoyed the first half of this book and then Toomer lost me and I couldn't even bring myself to finish the last 4 pages. Wanted to #throwitacrosstheroom. ☹️
