1. I don‘t think it registered with me that these books were set in #Oregon when I read them as a child…
2. I‘ve only really passed through the state, but the whole coastline looks like a nice place to visit.

megnews I reread a few of the Ramona books in the last couple years and still didn‘t recall they were set in Oregon! They seem like those books that could be set in Anywhere, USA. 2y

It‘s time for #TravelTuesday! What books and attractions would you recommend?

Bookwormjillk My pick has got to be the Ramona Quimby books. I went to Oregon once for a work trip and the only thing I did was go to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding in the mall where Tonya Harding used to practice. I‘m sure there‘s more to the state than that so it‘s on my list to go back! 2y
Kristin_Reads I second Ramona Quimby! @Bookwormjillk. I recommend Depoe Bay or anywhere on the Oregon Coast, the Goonies house in Astoria, Multnomah Falls, and Powells Books, of course! (edited) 2y
Hooked_on_books I‘m not living there now, but I consider Oregon home. So many places to visit! Powell‘s, Crater Lake, Yachats, Ashland, Cannon Beach. It‘s a wonderful state! 2y

1. This is an entertaining mystery set in a brewpub on the eastern side of the Cascade mountains in #Washington State.
2. The Cascades are beautiful. So are the San Juan Islands, which are best seen by boat.

We‘re moving on to Washington state this week for #TravelTuesday. I‘ve visited Seattle once over 20 years ago now. One thing I‘ve always wanted to see is the Mt St Helens area. What‘s not to be missed in Washington?

JenReadsAlot I'm heading to Seattle in July! Mt. Rainer is my happy place and so excited to go back! 2y
Bookwormjillk I‘ve always wanted to visit Mt St Helens and Mt Rainer. Someday. I read a great book about Mt St Helens a few years back 2y
Kristin_Reads Elliot Bay Bookstore, Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island, Eagle Harbor Books, Kerry Park in Seattle for evening views! 2y

A Goodreads list of books set in #Idaho includes a handful that are on my TBR but nothing that I‘ve read. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1. This looks like an interesting book, but unfortunately there are no copies at any library in Maryland.
2. During a family trip (perhaps the return from Glacier park I referenced last week?), we stopped for lunch at Coeur d‘Alene. It struck me as an interesting place to visit on its own someday.

Susanita BTW I bailed on 2y
megnews I‘m behind on responses because works been hectic. I‘ve never been to Idaho. I‘m not seeing any on that Goodreads list I‘ve read or on my tbr. I skipped Educated due to some reviews I read. 2y

We‘re off to Idaho for #TravelTuesday! What‘s not to miss?

Bookwormjillk I've only ever been to Boise which was nice enough, but I really want to go back and see the mountains. For books, my whole family cried our eyes out at 2y
megnews @Bookwormjillk I‘ve never been to Idaho. My daughter loves Walk Two Moons and I‘ve been meaning to read it for awhile. I didn‘t realize it‘s set it Idaho. 2y

1. This isn‘t my favorite Anna Pigeon book, but it‘s an interesting story set in the back country of Glacier National Park.
2. Murder and mayhem aside, Glacier is one of the most beautiful places I‘ve ever seen Flathead Lake, on the way to the park, is also a nice place to relax and enjoy nature.

Almost forgot to post #TravelTuesday. Got any Montana recommendations?

Bookwormjillk Another state I still need to visit, but I‘ve had a few favorite reads from there the past few years. We Begin At The End and Montana, 1948 are both great reads. 2y
julieclair I haven‘t read any books set in Montana (yet😉), but Glacier National Park is a gorgeous place to visit. 2y
