I downloaded a songwriting app last night on my iPad and wrote this. I added a few more verses to it this afternoon. I just got on the Garage Band app this afternoon and decided to start singing it while playing the piano. I don‘t know if it‘s really a song because it‘s not structured like a normal song and I don‘t have a song title yet. This was fun. I want to write again but I want to write about something else.

Just shy of 2 weeks post op and the stitches are out. I was able to wash my hand today and it was so freaking fantastic! 😆 4-6 more weeks in the splint.

I'm meeting three of my retired friends from the English department at my ol' high school for dinner and to discuss BABEL (we're a book club, too)--something fun to do over the “bleh“ that was last week. 💙🩵💙

The Lighthouse restaurant is open again after being closed for renovation. It was warm enough today to take the boat up the lake to have lunch there. It has been almost a year since I got to enjoy doing this. We meet some friends and ate some great food. Good times.
I did object writing recently in this journal I have with writing exercises in it. I struggled with this because I had to write just using the seven human senses: Sight, hearing, smell, touch, taste, organic (body), and kinesthetic (motion). I wrote about the night that my ex boyfriend broke up with me in 2013 and I filled up the 2 pages that are included. Maybe I should try free verse poetry instead.
