Whiteout | Ken Follett

Pickpick

Ken Follett is an excellent storyteller. Whiteout is a page-turner that does not disappoint. A missing deadly virus canister, a deadly snow storm make up the plot of bio-terrorism. riveting thriller of romance, family relationships and company security. characters are well-fleshed and believable. suspenseful and entertaining. I look forward to reading more Follett in the near future. I highly recommend to those who love suspense thrillers.

DefLeppard Love this one, have you tried his huge, historical sagas yet? 6y
EadieB @DefLeppard Yes I have read those too! 6y

*passes out* with an audible thunk.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

All my drama aside, I'm pretty stoked about his new release this year. And that he liked my excited comment over it. 🎉

Litsy needs to add it as a selection!

ScorpioBookDreams I love this series ❄️❄️ 7y
batsy So I'm guessing this is a recommendation for this series? 😉 7y
Jess_Read_This @ScorpioBookDreams Me too! He's such a terrific author. 7y

Jess_Read_This @batsy Oh, just a mild sort of a recommendation... 😆But he's a great author. His sleuth, Ari Thor, has many layers and is quite introspective. Jonasson also has translated Agatha Christie novels into Icelandic and I'm guessing there is that influence as well. 7y
batsy @Jess_Read_This You've convinced me! 😀 Ticks all the boxes: introspective, Christie-esque, and based on where its set, sounds atmospheric. 7y
Jess_Read_This @batsy Snow Blind is the book that really hooked me. For the English translations that is first book. I think for the Icelandic ones the books are in a different order. He's a bit different than Christie, but has all the player characters involved in the story in a similar fashion. So I think she has influenced him. Yes, it's quite atmospheric. The descriptions of Iceland are stunning, haunting, and play into the moods of the chapters. (edited) 7y
batsy @Jess_Read_This Ack! Now I want to drop everything to read it. Thank you, it sounds like my kind of thriller! 7y
Jess_Read_This @batsy I hope you like it! I always get a tad nervous when I rave about an author/book to someone and then think "Gosh, what if they don't like it and now think I'm such a weirdo!" ? 7y
batsy @Jess_Read_This I know what you mean! I always try to play down my recommendations when I get too excited 😂 7y
