A sharp and clever essay based on her TED talk. It‘s an insightful look into the roles men and women play in societies ideas of gender roles and what it is to be a man or women. Absolutely loved it. #3/12 #yearofreading #sofarbehind #feminism

I consumed this book. I was compelled to read on not because I liked Eleanor but because I knew from the beginning she deserved from more from life than existence. By the end I adored Eleanor and her bravery. It was a beautiful book that explore loneliness, isolation and friendship and how it is the small acts of kindness that save us all. #2/12 #yearofreading
I never pick a favorite of the year because I have too many, but here are my stats.
I usually read more women than men, so this year was strange. 2018 goals: read more women, POC, short story collections, nonfiction, and poetry. I‘ll play it safe and set my book goal to 150 since I read so many short books last year.
