The “big moment” doesn‘t happen for almost 200 pages in. Although the story has been generally good so far, it‘s been difficult to make myself pick the book up. However when I do pick it up, I can read 50-75 pages at a time.

I started this with a physical book and then ended up getting it on sale from Audible so I could listen while driving. This story starts off a little slow, but the development of each Queen‘s experience with their host family, learning their abilities, and preparing to take the throne makes it worth it!

I really enjoyed this book because I was committed to the storyline before it even started. Max Rupert is searching for the man who ordered his wife‘s death and it‘s a messy, but rewarding journey. The closure is worth getting through the slower parts for.

THIS IS SO GOOD. I AM CRYING HAPPY SAD TEARS AND I DO NOT CRY. Okay the all caps are gone, but seriously this is wonderful. I love that this story isn‘t picture perfect, and that we really get to see how Eden is affected by this tragic event in her life. This book isn‘t perfect, but that‘s why I love it. It‘s hard, but worth it. Dive on it with an open mind and tissues near by.

Oh my goodness...okay so hold on to your butts! This story starts out as a decent suspense, but begins to feel like a stereotypical Law & Order episode, predictable, but entertaining. But then in the last third of the book, things get really interesting. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it did get dull for a good bit, but it is worth it!

I had a hard time reading the physical copy of this so I decided to try an audiobook. I am so glad that I did! The story was much more compelling through audio and I was hooked. Although I wish there had been a bit more character development, I still really enjoyed seeing how the characters lives crossed paths. The settings of before, during, and after the flu were sectioned off well, I didn‘t feel lost by the time changes. I give it 4/5.

Listen to the audiobook! Normally I‘m pro physical book all the way, but when it comes to celebrity memoirs, the audiobooks usually can‘t be beat. It was so great and so relatable, I highly recommend it.

Chelleo Good to know! Hope to check it out soon! 7y
