Okay, after reading the first book in this series, I can see why it's getting so much hype! I really loved it a lot!

I enjoyed this Romantasy much more than I expected. The FMC is trained as a healer in a world with magic where non magic humans are considered the lowest and often killed indiscriminately- especially if a child born to a non magic human and descendent . There are several plots occurring at one time, rebellions and almost everyone seems to be morally grey at different moments.
I‘m in awe of the way this book spaced out its secrets. Like, I knew something was off and got distracted by other secrets by the time the first one was given an answer. I‘m impressed the way this books romance is given a strong foundation, though doesn‘t go far. This is quite a slow burn; where he totally falls first because of how she‘s not afraid to tell him how she feels. Love Luther. Diem grew on me, slowly.
Bummed to say this, but I am bailing on this one at 57%. It just feels derivative of many other books and I‘m bored. #hailthebail
But another #roll100 tbr pick off the shelves
Here are my current reads:
Physically reading tagged which is one of my #Roll100
I‘m listening to The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern for my real life book club.
If I finish that audiobook I‘ll probably pick a fun easy romance to listen to.
Now this is how an ending should be! I'm so excited to read the next book. Wowsers. Just so dang GOOD. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a ride. It is VERY slow to start, and in fact I probably wouldn‘t have finished it if it had not come STRONGLY recommended. By 80% I was finally hooked!
In a world where the children of gods rule over everything and mortals are mere servants, Diem Ballator can feel the magic of dissent rise within her.
