An important point, especially these days.

First of all, Max Books is a freaking genius. You would expect a title like World War Z or anything with Sasquatch in it to be nonstop action, but they're not. They're incredibly detailed, well-researched, and remarkably (terrifyingly) believable.
Secondly, listen to the full cast recordings of both these books! So good!! I'm only halfway through Devolution and I'm already dreading the fact that I'll be finished soon 😭
Watched In the Electric Mist a while ago, only belatedly discovering it was based on a novel, and then that it was nowhere near the start of the series. Figured I'd go back to the beginning. It's a little dated, written in the late 80s, but for someone who lived in the French Quarter in their younger years, it is nostalgia porn of the highest order 😌
Gah!! I was unavoidably detained for most of yesterday and totally missed the unboxing! I'm so sorry @Karisa Everything was absolutely lovely. Such thoughtful gifts and excellent books. Thank you so much!!

Getting a jump on my #blitsyhistorymonth reading because I simply cannot wait until February to start this novel!
(Also, how freaking awesome is this cover?)
This was really good. Unfortunately, I tend to consume audiobooks while engaged in other activities, and this is really something you need to sit still and focus on. I will probably listen again in the near future. The narrator was wonderful, and the concepts were thought-provoking. Definitely recommend!

Almost finished! Page 265 of 288. I like it! But I'm definitely going to have to listen to it again to really grok everything.
