Completed the book on a cold, wet, miserable night. Enjoyable read to get closure on the characters.

This is the second book I've read by the author, the first being The Nightingale. Having watched the TV series, I then read the book, I usually prefer to read the book first. This book does not disappoint, I enjoy this authors style of writing and I'm now on the look out for more to read.

A very well written book on a very hard subject. Written so that you could have empathy with all of the characters. The ending has left me wondering or is it that I don't really need to know?

I read this book as I loved Pachinko so much. This is another fantastic book from the author. They say books create a vision, this was like watching a TV series every time I read it. I need more from this author!!

What a book! I didn't realise it had so many pages when I ordered it! This book does not feel like you are reading 720 pages, I didn't want it to end and sobbed my way through the last 20 pages. At times difficult to read due to subject matter but incredible the same right from page one. What characters, what complexity. A book that has left me with a gap now it's ended.

A fantastic read. Once I got to a certain point in the book I couldn't put it down. Read about 150 pages in one sitting!
