I wouldn't rate it as phenomenal but it wasn't bad. I had to press to keep going. It was a good ride to the beach and back read. I wish the character Jacob had a little more depth. So much time was spent on Gabriel and his early life and then the end cascaded to an end like a gushing rapid.
