I am a Bravo fan. I love reality background tv and Andy Cohen being at the center of much of it makes me curious about him. This was not a great book though. And I don‘t think it painted him in the greatest light either. It went on too long and the name dropping gets old. We get it you and Kelly Ripa and SJP have dinner a lot but I don‘t think it needs to be written every single time it happens.

This book was a really good memoir. It was vulnerable and interesting and helpful if you‘re going through anything to know you‘re not alone.

My second read through. Books change the more times you read them. This time I liked it better than then the first read through, then less, and finally better again. Which means the book brought up personal emotions for me which is the sign of a good book. I‘ll probably read the whole series again in a few years and review it differently then. So glad for books that make you the think, make you feel.

Second read through. Last time I sped through it in a day or so and this time the same. I think I picked up more from it the second time through though. Enjoyed it more. The wondering of what‘s next wasn‘t as distracting this time. One of those sweet easy reads you can pick up again every few summers or so.

This is my second read through. I started the Amazon series last year when I needed something to watch for an plane trip. I realized after the fact that it was a series. The book was better the second time through. I read it in 2 days. It‘s youthful and hopeful and reminds you of human emotions that can be forgotten in the seriousness of adulthood.

I really enjoyed this. There were some sensitive topics including domestic violence but learning his backstory was interesting. I wish there was more information about the transition from poverty to successful touring comedian, but I assume that‘s probably for the next book.

It was a sweet, little memoir. Not my favorite but as someone who once watched her hit teen drama as a teen myself, it was interesting to read how her life pivoted so drastically to small town farm life. Overall quick, decent read.

I read this as a kid. I now have an 11 year old daughter who I thought about taking to see the movie so I reread the book first. It felt so serious when I was a kid. I‘m glad to have reread it as an adult and use it for talking points with my own preteen.

Remember Me? | Sophie Kinsella
Pickpick

I like Sophie Kinsella books. This one wasn‘t my favorite but it hooked me well enough. A good, quick read for vacation. I probably wouldn‘t pick it up a second time but it was good enough. Interesting take on amnesia and life and relationships. If you‘re an SK fan, definitely give it a go.

Normal People | Sally Rooney

There were many flaws in this book but that is what I think makes it real. At first I didn‘t like it with lack of quotations but a few chapters in I got the hang of it. There are mixed reviews on here and I understand it. The end leaves you with questions but there are many relatable moments about about relationships, communicating, mental health. Real life struggles. It was complicated but I appreciated the challenges that come up in the themes.

I love a memoir. This one was good. Quick read that I picked up from the library. It wasn‘t a deep dive into celebrity gossip like it could have been but I think that was intentional based on the title. I liked the first half the best and there were a few topics I wish she spent more time diving deeper into but I understood the tone and I think she left it open to write the juicier book of a costar one day.

I love a memoir. And I guilt watch reality tv housewives. Thought this would be interesting. About a quarter in I was mildly intrigued and thought something was about to hook me. Halfway through I thought is this all this book is? It‘s a self-indulgent day by day of someone‘s privileged life with not a ton of gratitude and lot of activity hopping. I was half through so I didn‘t bail though. I would be we read it again.

marleed It was one I read and quickly passed on, as well - disappointing because I‘m otherwise entertained by Andy Cohen. 14mo

Can You Keep A Secret? | Sophie Kinsella
Pickpick

I read all the shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella. I loved that series as a fun read. This book definitely had her tone. It wasn‘t my favorite but I did like it. I read it quickly and had a couple thought provoking quips. I wouldn‘t reread it but I‘m glad I picked it up from the library.

I am a guilty pleasure housewife watcher. I had to read this. Although it didn‘t have as many juicy tidbits as I thought there were a few interesting insights. Also it did ruin it a little for me too because it seems like so many more women than I thought just want to get their new cast mates kicked off. The behind the scenes reminded me of how calculated the shows are which I know but I wish they were more actual reality.

I read the first book which was not great yet somehow still sparked enough curiosity to read this one. I didn‘t love this book. Too many “AF”s. And it was written from a very privileged perspective, which is her truth, but it didn‘t read quite right. I liked only the last chapter which she offered future advice for her daughter. That was endearing and somewhat truthful.

It was cute. I love a theme book so reading this in December was fun. The ending was fairly predictable but the path there was not so I enjoyed it.

This is the third in a trilogy. This was my least favorite of the three. As I pictured these characters navigating their lives in this book, it felt like none of them were themselves. Which is maybe a theme but it was uncomfortable for me to read. This series would be a great book club choice because there would be a lot of great discussion.

Loved it. I read the first one in this series over a weekend. The second one in a day. Its a sweet and romantic novel across many relationships not just a typical live story. The themes while not parallel to my own life asserted some ideas and questions I have about life and relationships.

I loved To All the Boys so I had to pick up this series by Jenny Han. I read it in a few hours by the pool. I love an easy read sometimes. Looking forward to the next one in the series on my next day off at the beach or pool.

The final book in the series. I waited years for these to come out because I read them when they were newly printed. I only ever read this one once. It‘s such a long book. I enjoyed it much more the 2nd time. Some of the surprises felt like surprises again. I realized that the series matured with the original readers when they were first published because the first book to the seventh is a sever jump in maturity. I look forward to the movies now.

This was a treat to read as I haven‘t read it in probably 15 years. I am rereading the whole series which I started when I was a kid and then had to wait years for each new book to come out. This go round I‘ve been able to read without breaks and it‘s nice to go through the story continually. I enjoyed this one. I still stand my the third book being my favorite in the series but this was a nice reread treat.

Shopaholic to the Rescue | Sophie Kinsella

The final installment in the series. Other than the Christmas book, which I‘ll probably save to read in December. This was not my favorite plot of all the books but it was an interesting deeper dive into the truer complexities of the characters. It was a nice way to round it out and end it without completely wrapping it up in a pretty predictable bow. Overall I enjoyed reading this series and it kept my attention fully.

I started this series in 2020. Put it down for a bit but picked up this one again. They are quick and addicting reads. Sophie Kinsella sucks in with each chapter that you just want to know what happens next. This was not my favorite because there is a big cliffhanger however I‘m still excited to read then next one and not have to wait for it to be released. So I‘ll read it next on my list. The main character is so over the top. It‘s a fun escape.

I mentioned in my reviews of the previous 4 books in the series, I am rereading these after some time. This one was pretty good. I had forgotten so much of the content of this book. It felt like a surprise again which was a treat. I read It fairly quickly too which was not the case the first time around. I enjoyed the series of course and look forward to now reading book 6.

This was interesting. I‘m only a casual SNL watcher and the majority was a life story with clever quips. It was a quick read. Anyone who loves a memoir this is a good quick one.

Haven‘t reread this one in a while. There were a couple of surprises because it‘s been so long. I love this series. I look forward to a movie marathon after the books. Of course I love this series and books over movies any day.

I am doing a reread of the series. The 3rd book is my favorite. To me it‘s the first book that really gives up information about the characters pasts as well as set up for the the future books. It is the most surprising if you‘re a first time reader. This one peaked my interest most consistently of all the books.

This took me less than a day to read. If you‘re a reality tv person like me and a book person chances are you like biographies. This one was okay. It was less of a biography and more of insight into her brain pre-“cancellation” of her reality character. I didn‘t have interest in reading this when it was first published but am curious now to read the tone difference in her 2nd book as she has since been fired from the show.

Give Them Lala | Lala Kent

I love biographies. I find people‘s lives fascinating and even more so their own interpretation of their lives. I casually watch reality tv and if you are a Vanderpump Rules fan, this could be interesting to you. For me, it was mildly entertaining. There was a lot of fluff and felt like it was written from the perspective of her tv personality, not the raw truth of herself. It was ok. I‘d never read it again but I finished it, so there‘s that.

This was an interesting read if you‘re familiar with Chelsea Handler. There were some fluffy filler parts about her dogs but overall an interesting journey of someone who later in life finally decided to take a hard look inward.
