Thank you, Remus. What a hun π
Also I just need to post how gorgeous my new reading journal is for 2023 and beyond! It‘s from The Quirky Cup Collective, and it‘s amazing; besides having this beautiful cover and gilded edges, it has sections for book reviews, TBRs, Reading Challenges, Books to Own, and more! I‘m hoping this helps me put a bit more thought into my final thoughts on a book, so we shall see!πΏ
Twelve done (apart from the buttons) twelve more to go. Luckily I have eleven months πππͺ
Here‘s my review for a book I finished reading. I started it in October and finished it on November 1.
Here‘s my reading progress for a book I started reading last night. It‘s good. I‘m getting cozy vibes from this book series and I‘ve only read the first 2 books so far. This is a good series to read when you‘re curled up with a blanket and hot drink but it‘s also a good series to read if you want to escape the real world and not think about anything for awhile. I‘m having so much fun reading this series. I want to watch the movies too.
The third installment of JK Rowling‘s series is one that dives deeper into the overall story that is progressively building on. We meet many new characters and learn more about Harry‘s late parents and their friends. Ultimately having to save an innocent man after the truth is revealed.
Another great book! A good book, especially for third graders! Each Harry Potter book gets harder to read, and as the kids grow in real life the books grow with them!
The photo prompt for 10/11-10/13 #BookBattle is #Transformation so I'm going with a favorite werewolf, Lupin. Illustration by Jim Kay.

One of my favorite things about autumn is the availability of pumpkin candles. This one smells scrumptious. #ominousoctober #candles #catsoflitsy

This book is cited by many of my friends as their favorite of the series. It is the least memorable for me, but I always enjoy it more than I think I will. This is also my only book in this set that is broken. It's been like this most of the time I've had it and I can't remember how it initially got torn up like this. The last paragraph in the book is probably one of my favorites. The dark topic with Harry's chipper tone is so funny. Recommend.

My favourite quote from any of the books I have read is: βHappiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.β I found this quote to be really helpful during the early days of the Covid 19 pandemic about 2 years ago. #littenswanttoknow
God, the action really ramps up in this one. All the Sirius plot twists are incredible, and I just love Remus! A great way to set the stage for everything that comes up next. #childrenslit #reread

LOOK WHAT I FOUND IN THE DONATION PILE AT EORK YESTERDAY! π±ππ It's a UK edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban! The dust jacket it not in the best shape; it has a few creases and a tiny tear bear the top, but other than that it's in pretty good condition! I am excited to add it to my collection! π₯°
On a Harry Potter movie marathon. Currently at Prisoner of Azkaban. Here Hagrid is telling the golden trio about the committee's decision to sentence Buckbeak to death.

Day 275.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.
Starting Harry Potter #3 on audio! π§

I am doing a reread of the series. The 3rd book is my favorite. To me it‘s the first book that really gives up information about the characters pasts as well as set up for the the future books. It is the most surprising if you‘re a first time reader. This one peaked my interest most consistently of all the books.
I think this is the 10th time I have read this book and I love it more each time!! I truly despise Snape in this book and you begin to see Harry struggle with certain things!! A truly wonderful book!!
#BookReport - Finished 4 books this week. All were really good. I‘m currently rereading my way through the HP books.
#CurrentlyReading - The Verifiers (struggling a bit to get into it). HP on audio and History of Wild Places. Only about 60 pages into it, so not sure yet.
#WeeklyForecast - Not sure how exhausted I‘ll be after work yet, so keeping it simple. A River enchanted is my #DoubleSpin book.
I listen to HP before bed to quiet my mind as I fall asleep. But my anxiety has been bananas lately so I decided on my commute and my lunch work out I‘d just continue. Especially bc it‘s my favorite book! Nothing better than the comforting hug of old friends!
This was a re-read, but I hadn't read it in at least 7 years. There's so much that I didn't remember, such as how truly horrible Snape is to the trio. I loved all of Harry's interactions with Lupin and his uses of the Patronus charm. I also enjoyed all of the quidditch matches. I wish the movies had more quidditch. I ended up reading most of this book over the last week which is pretty quick for me lately. Now onto GoF!

1. I would time travel back in time to visit loved ones who are not here in the present.
2. I see so many already tagged The Time Traveler‘s Wife, which I loved, so I‘ll add Hermione and her time-turner.
Thanks for the tag @TheSpineView !

βHappiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.β
- Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, J.K. Rowling
9/10
I really enjoyed this book! The beginning was a bit slow for me (as was the movie), but by the middle I didn‘t want to put it down. I loved getting more of an insight into James Potter and Snapes backstory, along with the role Crookshanks played throughout. However, Ron did make me so mad with the way he was acting towards Hermione the entire time! I was mostly happy to read a more in-depth ending when they are in the shrieking shack!
I am really truly happy that Harry is no longer an orphan
How dare you speak to Harry!
How dare you talk about James in front of him!
You sold James and Lily to Voldemort, didn't you?
I didn't mean to! The Dark Lord. You have no idea the weapons he possesses! Ask yourself, Sirius! What would you've done? What would you've done?
I would have died!
I would have died rather than betray my friends!
