So I started and finished this yesterday and it was such a light contemporary read! Devon was so real and relatable, and she was witty but not overly so. She had her awkward moments and I loved it. The one thing that did bother me about the book is that there wasn't a lot of closure or resolution. I would still recommend it if you need a pick-me-up book tho:-)

Just started this today. Got it in the fairyloot box last month and I wasn't super excited about it but the first chapter has totally turned me around!

Maybe after this one I'll start the TBR I originally had planned😂

"I don't want her broken like me. I want her wounded, yes, but stronger for it. There comes a day when every girl loses the stars in her eyes. And then she can see clearly."

Just started this and I love the parallel worlds theme! I like the correlations and subtle opposites that are woven into it. It's pretty quick paced and I can tell it'll be a fun read✊?

"I can't do anything like this. I'm broken. I'm literally broken."

Iko settled a hand on Cinder's shoulder. "Yeah, but broken isn't the same as unfixable."

Whew this series is taking me on a roller coaster. Almost finished with it now and I'm so anxious!! Ugh endings always leave me sad and satisfied which are two totally at war feelings. I'll drown out the sadness in fruit roll-ups I suppose..

Happy #socksunday!! I love that that's a thing.

There's four more that aren't included in this pile either🙊

What have you gotten lately?

"I don't remember being tied together before."

"I'm sorry, my hair gets everywhere sometimes and...if you could just...here, roll this way."

Same, girl.

Little back story: my hair is almost past my butt so I'm like seriously relating to Cress in this scene? my hair gets caught in everything and everyone.

Cinder was such a slow start for me but I really liked Scarlet (which I finished yesterday) and I'm already on page 121 of Cress?

Oh my stars, I see what everyone is talking about now with the ending😭 SO HEARTBREAKINGLY GOOD. Just as things we're looking to be resolved it completely comes undone in the last chapter. So many new questions now. She really ties in the other characters from the books before and I like that a lot.

On a side note, I'm halfway done with Scarlet and it's picked up so much!😱

Mehso-so

So I deviated from my tbr (shocker I know) but I was pretty underwhelmed by this book considering all the hype it has. It was all right but the writing was kinda dull in my opinion and I predicted everything thing that was going to happen. It did pick up towards the end though so I'd give it a 🌟🌟🌟.5/5

I'll read the next one but only because I already bought the whole set, which I don't usually do😅

I remember why now.

My current July #tbr! Almost finished with StD and powering through LoS. The school for good and evil is just a fun middle grade book that looks pretty good:)

What're your piles looking like this month?

So I've been in a contemporary slump lately (like all I've read the last 4 months is solid fantasy) and this book reminded me how much I actually like a good contemporary book😌 felt a little cheesy in the beginning but I warmed right up to it! Finished it in 3 days and now I need more contemporary in my life!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 stars :-)

Any good recs for this genre?

My first #socksunday! Joined up with my some of my TBR pile. This isn't even half of my unread books🙄 and it will just continue to spiral out of control endlessly because I ordered 14 books and the whole #LunarChronicles boxed set from #bookoutlet. Oops. #SorrynotSorry.

What's your #TBR looking like?

This whole series is so quotable. This and the duology The Ship Beyond Time have the most quotes written down in my journal?? they both are due for a reread soon.

Any books you guys want to reread at the moment??

Am I extra for purchasing both copies? Perhaps. But who can resist those sprayed edges?! Certainly not I. Kinda slumped at the end and haven't finished this yet (THEME OF THE MONTH APPARENTLY) but it's so good!! Hoping Lady Midnight picks me back up.

Have any of you guys been in a slump lately?

Me too, Henry. Everything sounds better in my head or when I write it down. This whole top shelf has some of my favorites on it, including #veschwab and #cslewis and #jkrowling . . . I kinda love how they all have shortened names. It pleases the aesthetic dragon in me.

What's hanging out on your favorites shelf?

Kinda thrilled I had an excuse to use the fan for this? has anyone else read this series?? My gal pal and I loved this trilogy, I've read it twice now!

Been wanting to try this whole bookish picture thing out for a little while now and it's harder than I thought?? tips for the new girl perhaps?!

Picture was cut off but the pillow says "are we not like two volumes of one book?"

Hi guys☺️ pretty new to this whole thing, I don't even have a bookstagram but let's do this!!

Was feeling pretty nostalgic so I picked up this one and I remember why I loved the Percy Jackson series so much when I was a kid😍 humor is spot on and the characters are so diverse (and not just with mythical creatures either). Can't wait to finish it🙌🏼
