I'm a big fan of Jenn Bennett and have loved (or almost loved) all of her books so far. While this one was good, it fell a little flat for me. It dragged in parts and didn't pack the emotional punches that I'm used to from this author. The blurb contains the biggest spolier, which is a major bummer. Still a worthwhile read.

The Alex Approximately by Jenna Bennett is about two teenagers who meet each other on the internet. later on Bailey decides to move from her home town that she lived in with her mother to California with her father. Where Alex her friend lives.It‘s a very interesting book and really pulls you in making you want to know more and more. I really enjoyed this book and I‘d recommend it as it is a pretty easy read and overall very good book.

My mom says we're all connected--people and plants and animals. We all know one another on the inside. It's what's on the outside that distracts. Our clothes, our words, our actions. ... We spend our lives trying to find other people. Sometimes we get confused and turned around by the distractions.

This YA book was super cute, even if it wasn't perfect. Bailey is a vintage film buff, with retro style, and is a bit naive, or is it just stupidity? Porter, the half Polynesian surfer dude is pretty much who would've made my 17 year old heart flutter. They start a little romance. There's a nice friendship between Bailey & new friend Grace. It touches on addiction & consent. Enjoy it for what it is and don't think too hard. Ah, young love! 💖⬇️

A sort of You‘ve Got Mail vibe, but with teens. Bailey meets Alex on a film message board and they hit it off, but when she moves to his California town before her senior year of high school she doesn‘t tell him because she does not want to meet him and be disappointed. Meanwhile, she starts flirting with her new coworker at her summer job who is not quite who he seems. A fun summer read!

A cute ya romance with some real violence. The problem for me is there was a case of mistaken identity at the core of the story, which was revealed on the back of the book (and obvious reading like 20 pages in).

Really enjoyed this cute YA story. Loved the character growth and the characters were fun, especially Porter 😍. Can't really think of anything I didn't like.

Been in a reading rut lately which is terrible cause I have a HUGE TBR for this month with the #bookspinbonanza happening. Trying to get back in the zone so hopefully finishing this book helped.

Simon & Schuster just offered me a free ebook for being a subscriber to their newsletter. There looked like a lot of great thriller options, but I picked the tagged book pitched as YA meets You've Got Mail. I love cutesy romance!

A fun, light hearted read great for these stressful days! Toward the end I wanted to shake Bailey (Mink), for not putting it all together but I still liked her as a character. A great romance with two teens trying to overcome traumatic pasts. Thoughtful and humorous.

@Sarah83 Yes, I did, of course. But I didn‘t really have the time to answer since we suddenly decided to become very busy yesterday. Yesterday afternoon I searched for this book but none of my libraries has it. I just now found it on „Tauschticket“ and am tempted to order it … On the one hand. On the other hand I am afraid I could find the story too childish since it‘s recommended for people aged around 13. 🤔 Have you already read your copy❓

Finished this book in 3 days!!! It was so good! Literally never a dull moment while reading this!!! I would definitely recommend this. It‘s just that good. Definitely going to read more books by this author in the future!

This book is so good that I‘m literally forcing myself to put it down so I can go to sleep! Best one that I‘ve read so far! Only 2 more books left in my stack of “to reads” so I just ordered 12 more off amazon! 😳

This was a cute teen romance, and I liked the classic movie angle. The THING that the main characters don't figure out until near the end was super obvious and it was kind of frustrating that they were so blind to it, but maybe that's part of the fun for some readers (especially those in the target age group).

This is exactly what I was looking for in a fast, fun teen romance! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

These YA romance books are always good for a "palate cleansing" between heavier reads. This was fun, adorable, and a good summer read. My major complaint is that the last chapter was odd, it almost felt like it came from another book.

5⭐'s. This was such a cute book! I was not expecting this amount is cuteness when I started it but man was I blown away by it.

Super cute/sweet easy read YA novel. If “You‘ve Got Mail” was about teenagers and first love, this would be it.

3. The fact the snow is leaving and my birthday is in the Spring

I really enjoyed this. Girl moves to West Coast to the same town as her online maybe-more-than-friend from a movie forum. Her summer job involves a hot but intensely irritating security guard. And maybe, just maybe ending her Artful Dodger evasiveness routine. Cute boy, witty banter, classic films. Definitely a fun summer romance, and now I want to go binge on classic movies...

This book was a favorite of mine last year, just recently I got the UK version of it. The UK version fits.
Bailey is a lover of classic movies, and spends her time talking with a fellow lover online. That attempts to get her to visit his town for a old movie event. But he doesn't know, she has already came to town. Determined to find him on her own, she is in for a real shock! Since the kind man online, is the jerky security guard at her new job.

Very cute.

After Dark Places I decided to take out my YA "hallmark" mood with this book received last year.Two young persons used to talk through emails using seudo names.They decided to meet but they interact first without knowing they were the same "email persons".Long reading for a simple story.Too many coincidences.Boring in some parts cute in others.4⭐️GoodReads?Really?No way.2.85 just for the cute parts that are more for young persons.

I don‘t know how I feel but all I know is I liked it, most parts of it lol
