After a stressful stretch of preparing and then finally moving across the country, I am back to feeling like reading again! Why not start with a reread of Anne of Green Gables?

Listening to characters talking about Star Wars fanfic is cracking me up. I am really enjoying this audiobook so far!
I'm feeling like Wonder Woman today!
We're getting a new roof right now, and somehow call three children are napping and the house is mostly clean.
Yay! Time for a little alone time with my friend Jane.
*sigh* I'm still on the fence about this series and I'm on the last book...
I guess, I just feel like there could be so much more to this story. The fairytale relationships are not my thing though.
*It's also telling that these books have ALL been easily available at the library. So much, that I am way ahead of our book club because I have been waiting on my other holds.
Haha! Pretty accurate.
Where is that letter?!

"If you don't have time to read, you don't have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that."
Hmm... I really enjoyed Blood Red Road. I'm not even a big fan of the YA distopian works anymore, but I was pleasantly surprised with the first Dust Lands book.
Rebel Heart was a little disappointing though. Saba just makes extremely dumb decisions here.
Not to mention, the YA "I've known you for 2 days, but I'm in love/let's have sex!" thing becomes a big part of this one. Ugh.
Somehow, all of my library holds are miraculously becoming available all at once. One even still had about a month estimated wait left! Who knew this problem could exist!?
So, here I am listening to Stephen King while doing the dishes (all 3 kids are napping 🙌) with this view from the kitchen window.
It snowed non-stop today. Kind of depressing on the first day of March. However, the sticky wet snow does have a beauty to it! (This photo isn't even in B&W. 😩)
I spent the day listening to the second of the Dust Land series while cleaning.
The girls try not to take naps (I already read them Doc McStuffins and they drank some hot cocoa,) but they are so cranky when they don't nap and I need time to clean without them!
Now they're listening to The Magic School Bus in their beds. Might as well learn something. 🤷😂
Listening to this month's Nerd Girls Book Club series book while cooking carrot 🥕 soup for dinner!
"I took pounds and pounds of medications that have the dual effect of causing water retention (think ocean, not lake) while also creating a craving for salad—chocolate salad."
Mental illness, memory loss, weight gain and image issues, drug addictions... Shock therapy! I'm so intrigued. I love listening to Carrie reading her book, and listening about her life experiences. I can't wait to get ahold of her other works!
😁 Love this book! The campiness is showing, just like the movie. 🤣
I loved it! 11/22/63 is so thought provoking and feeds my interests of time travel. 😊
I had already seen the mini series before starting the novel, so I personally feel that it is definitely a good adaptation. The endings are slightly different though. I was so pleased that I greatly enjoyed the original ending of the novel.
We love this little book! We're such a foodie family that it fits us perfectly!
Such a clever way to introduce new fruits and vegetables while incorporating colors. 😊
My all time favorite movie!
...Well, it's tied with The Goonies.
I can't believe it took me about 20 years and a book club to finally getting around to reading it. 😳🤷
I think I would have really liked this in high school...
As for right now, I haven't really been looking for easy reads (this was chosen in a book club) and I'm kind of over the Cinderella adaptations.
However, the story is interesting and unique, and I plan to finish the series.
Cinder is surprisingly short, as well. I was able to finish the audio book within two days.
Audio books for the kids now! 😂
Should be good for the car.
I did not realize how long this book is. I'm only 58% through (almost 18 hours!)
I'm interested, but I have also seen the mini series and they did so exceptionally well on that adaptation... At least for this first half that I have gotten through.
I do a ton of reading at night.
Tonight, I have a new audio. It was suggested since I liked The Martian so much. Guess we'll see!
I loved it!
The amount of detail and intelligence put into The Martian is unbelievable. It is beautifully (and methodically) written! I can't believe I waited so long to read it.
Library Day!
17 books and they're all my children's. 😂
One of my favorites is down in there though. I will always recommend Where The Wild Things Are. ❤️
I'm pretty excited about this Nerd Girls Book Club!
Already finished the first 5 chapters, and I am ready to discuss!
Finished this little "re-read" today!
The girls and I listened while cleaning yesterday and today.
I took the kids to the library yesterday. Millie started a little preschool class, and I renewed my card for the year. Addie picked out this Dora book and is now obsessed.
Starting my first Stephen King novel!
Loving the new Libby app. 😊
