The book will is short and so lushly written. I though about all of the deadlines we give ourselves that don‘t always pan out. It made me want to dive into the unknown potential trapped inside my own heart.

Mason Buttle is a kid that you just want to hug. His dyslexia and social awkwardness make him a target for bullies. He is further ostracized when his bed friend dies in his family‘s apple orchard. I loved this book and it‘s way of highlighting the humanity in differently abled people.
Started this Along with self compassion my Kristin Neff. Self love and awareness on deck!
Starting this tonight. It was mentioned during a book review hosted by Christopher Purdy. Anyone already read this one?
Well I finished it. I know that it is a novel of flawed people. But the mean actions of some of the characters was a little hard to swallow. It cast a huge shadow for me over the other good parts of the novel(sweet love story, familial relationships, loyalties).
So I am about halfway through this story and it‘s slightly disturbing so far. Question: is it worth finishing?
So I‘m in full reading fever. Just picked up my first book from the racial healing workshop I went to at the ALA conference. So far it‘s completely dope. More thoughts to come.
Starting this book on my way home. I love Avi so I‘m hoping is a great read.
