A cross between Harry Potter and Narnia but with a lot more sex and alcohol. Each character had their own personality and flaws making you love them and hate them at different stages. These books are very imaginative and unique. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for something a bit different.

Inferno follows a similar treasure hunt storyline to Dan Brown's other books. However, I always find that the descriptions of different cities Langdon is in such as Florence and Venice never fail to captivate me. In addition, Brown once again manages to merge science with religion almost seamlessly. If you were put off by The Lost Symbol, give Inferno a go - I thought it was much better!

A bit slow to start with, but I was soon hooked. This is a very character driven story and there are lots of different characters which takes a while to keep track of. Rowling gives you a unique insight into each of their lives and whilst this is definitely not a happy story, it is fascinating to see how different characters respond and develop to changing circumstances.
