One of the other book sets I‘ve bought this week 😬 I read these probably about 10 years ago when I was a kid but I had an urge to read them again after seeing them on Pinterest, because of how much I enjoyed them. so I treated myself to the first 9 of them. Looking forward to reading them all again. They were such fun books with a fantastic storyline, I‘m excited now! 🤩

I picked this one up on a whim while at the supermarket last week but I have mixed feelings about it. It promised wild twists which I believe it delivered, especially through the main characters warped sense of reality and “hallucinations?” But I just also feel that the end of the main plot event was too rushed and clumsy? I know It‘s only a short book with a lot of story so I can understand that,but I feel that the writing of it lets it down?

Picked up this awesome set at Costco (UK) this morning. They had 3 different sets, this one is the horror fantasy. They also had mystery and adventure ones too with great books in. They each have 8 different book and a journal in to write down your thoughts. They was only (cd! A bargain ! They‘d make really good gifts and the covers are so pretty?

TheNeverendingTBR Omg..sweet box set!! 😍 3y
Emily_Jane21 @TheNeverendingTBR I know! Might go back and get the other ones 😅 3y

This one took a while to get through, especially during a busy work week but it was worth it. I‘m a massive Stephen King fan and this is by far the favourite of his I have read now. Such a rich and detailed story and one of the first times I‘ve actually been scared reading a book too! Up there with my all time favourites now! 🤡

A little late to start this task, but now writing up my 2021 TBR list. I‘ve found it hard to focus on reading for a while now so I‘ve set myself a challenge this year to get myself back into the habit;

📚Trying to read 24 books in 12 months!📚

I‘ve got 16 books on the list so far that I‘ve been wanting to read for a long time now and looking for some new recommendations to fill the other 8 spots.

Anyone got any good ones to check out? 🤓

Emily_Jane21 I might easily pass the target of 24 books but thought I‘d keep it modest to help me along. 3y

I love a mystery book,but this didn‘t do it for me. Normally I appreciate the detail put into the backgrounds of the characters but in this case I felt like it focused too much on them rather than the main plot,so much so, that the end “reveal” of the main plot events were overshadowed with all these extra side plots, that weren‘t really resolved? Too much time adding side details only to rush the ending of the main one? Not a fan, Sorry🤷🏻‍♀️

I read a few book in December but this was the favourite one! It had been on my bucket list for a long time but I finally got round to it. I‘ve not read many science fiction novels before this and I read this now because the new film adaption that was due to be released soon. And I‘m happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is said to be one of the best sci-fi novels written and I‘m sure I believe that. Definitely driven me to read more sci-fi🪐

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm This one has been sitting on my TBR for far too long. 😅 Every time I see it I think, “Why haven‘t I read that yet?!?” I definitely need to make it a priority! 3y
Emily_Jane21 @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I was the same! 😂 But I‘m glad I got to sit down and finally read it. I do recommend it! 3y

"My sister Rose lives on the mantelpiece. Well some of her does. Three of her fingers, her right elbow and her knee cap are buried in a graveyard in London."

Great book from the point of view of a young boy who overcomes the terrible stereotype that surrounds Muslim being linked to terrorism, after his sister was killed in a terrorist attack. It tackles alcoholism, bullying, eating disorders and racism through a child's eyes. A such moving book❤️
